[Archive] #NotGuilty

I know this isn't a political topic, but I've got to publish this one-

I don't know if your facebook friends follow the Casey trial as close as mine, but if they do you're likely to see many posts like these:
Stewart-
That whore.... she is a great example of why the world hates us. I'm proud to be an American but today I am disappointed in the country I love
Alex-
Guess its okay to kill your daughter...fuck you casey anthony
Now frankly, this is completely uncalled for. A jury of our peers found there to be enough reasonable doubt, that she might not have done it, to push forward a verdict of Not Guilty. That's the way our justice system works. It's the job of the prosecution to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that someone is guilty. They were unable to present any meaningful evidence at all in this case, regardless of how strongly you feel about the case, you have to admit that there isn't any proof what-so-ever to try to convict with.

What she a bad mother? Yeah. Is she a terrible person? Fuck yeah. Did she kill her kid? We can't prove it, so she has to walk free. The prosecution should have realized this before taking the case to court, and only hit her with the charges they could actually prove. Neglect and other charges would have easily put her in jail.

All that said, think of it in this very blunt way:

Tim-
Casey Anthony was out getting drunk, high and fucked while she left her daughter home alone. She wandered outside the house in search of her mother where she was kidnapped by a man offering free candy. Casey considered the disappearance of her child a blessing and decided to take advantage of the peace and quiet to party, and held off on reporting it.

I just established reasonable doubt in a paragraph. There were too many holes to prove the case, and I said that from the beginning. So what if she's a bitch or a bad parent? The legal system is not your personal tool to punish people for unrelated issues.
